Course Content

  • Advanced yoga practice and teaching

Our training offers a unique opportunity to deepen your yoga and meditation practice while refining your teaching skills. Each day begins with an intensive morning session, focusing on tools that lay the foundation for the day’s learning. You’ll receive expert guidance and personalized feedback from lead teachers throughout the course.

    FAQ
  • Meditation and ceremony

Meditation and ceremony lie at the heart of yoga. By exploring stillness and connecting with nature’s sacred elements, we align with our Spirit and gain resilience to face life’s challenges. You'll engage in various eastern contemplative practices from Buddhist, Hindu Bhakti, Tantra, and Vedanta traditions, as well as indigenous ceremonies based in Native American spirituality.

    FAQ
  • Pranayama and the subtle body

As your practice evolves, you will explore the flow of energy within the body. The breath is life’s foundation and a crucial element of yoga. You'll dive into the application of pranayama in both postures and meditation, discovering how the subtle body influences self-awareness and our interaction with the world.

    FAQ
  • History and philosophy

Our courses delve deeply into sacred texts and yogic traditions. You'll explore yoga’s history, expanding on the 200h course, and learn how to integrate ancient wisdom into modern life. Through lectures, meditations, Kirtan, and discussions, complex concepts will be simplified, bridging the gap between theory and practice for your personal and teaching evolution.

    FAQ
  • Anatomy, hands on adjustments, and advanced sequencing

Understanding the body and functional movement is key to a sustainable practice. You'll learn the anatomy of complex poses, advanced sequencing strategies, and gain skills in hands-on adjustments and verbal cues to build trust and connection with your students. This knowledge ensures a safe, supportive teaching environment.

    FAQ
  • Yin and Yoga Nidra

Yin yoga is a slow, floor-based practice that rebalances the body and mind through long-held poses. In this training, you'll deepen your yin practice and gain tools to create sequences. Complemented by yoga nidra, a practice fostering deep rest, you will learn to guide students through these meditative and healing practices with confidence.

    FAQ
  • Beyond the Mat: Ethics, Inclusivity, and Community

Throughout the course, you will explore how to bridge the tools of yoga and self-awareness with conscious activism and effective community engagement. We emphasize that inner work is essential for creating outer transformation.

As yoga teachers, it is crucial to understand not only our personal growth but also the larger systems—economic, political, and cultural—that shape our world. This awareness helps us become more effective in fostering inclusivity and sustainable change both on and off the mat.

    FAQ
  • Mentorship and Ongoing Support

Recognizing the lack of support many trainees face after training, High Yoga School offers over 20 additional hours of mentorship and continuing education support. You'll receive guidance through online community gatherings, as well as the modules: Reclaiming Yoga: Honoring Roots, Embracing Diversity and Psychological Insight: Cultivating Boundaries and Well-Being for Yoga Teachers , ensuring your continued growth.

You’ll also learn skills to teach in diverse settings, including private sessions, workshops, corporate classes, and retreats, preparing you to lead with confidence. This structure helps you apply your skills in real-world teaching and community-building efforts.

Programme Structure And Qualification

The 300-hour training programme is structured to equip you with advanced skills and knowledge in yoga instruction. While our official in-person training ends in Indonesia in early November, certification will be awarded in February 2026, upon completion of all post-training requirements. The programme comprises the following components:

250 Hours: In-person training in Indonesia, from October 8th to November 2nd, 2025.

27 Hours: Pre-training assignments, including journaling exercises, attendance at yoga classes, and viewing educational documentaries, to be completed independently prior to arrival.

23 Hours: Post-training mentorship calls and continuing education modules led by High Yoga School teachers, to be completed by February 2026.

These elements together form the complete training requirements, culminating in certification from High Yoga School.
